Fairytale Blues

Montreal-based singer-songwriter Jesse Creatchman blends blues, folk, and rock with poetic grit and cinematic warmth. Formerly performing under the name Stone, Jesse first caught the Montreal Blues Society’s attention when he opened for Jack Broadbent, a performance that left a lasting impression. Now performing under his real name (a nod to his uncle Eddie Creatchman, the legendary wrestling manager), Jesse returns with a new single that’s both raw and imaginative.
“Fairytale Blues” is, in Jesse’s words, “a fairytale in blues” - a song he penned himself, with music co-composed by harmonica icon Jim Zeller and blues-rock guitarist Dwane Dixon. The track was produced by Tom Shemer of The Damn Truth, adding a polished yet soulful edge to Jesse’s evocative storytelling.
With a voice that balances vulnerability and defiance, Jesse’s music channels the spirit of classic troubadours while carving out a sound that’s unmistakably his own. His previous work like “Tommy Is a Heartbreaker” and “Put Your Trust in Me”, showcases a lyrical depth and melodic sensibility that continues to evolve with each release.
We’re proud to support local voices like Jesse’s—artists who keep the blues alive by making it personal, poetic, and powerfully real.
