Since 1999, the Montreal Blues Society has been dedicated to keeping the blues alive, loud, and thriving in Quebec. Our mission is simple: celebrate the music, support the artists, and grow the community that keeps this culture beating.

Who We Are
We’re a volunteer‑run, non‑profit organization made up of fans, musicians, industry folks, and passionate supporters who believe the blues is more than a genre - it’s a living tradition worth protecting and sharing.

What We Do

 

• Promote Quebec blues artists through our website, social media, and event listings

• Support the scene by attending shows, festivals, and industry events

• Run the Quebec to Memphis competition, sending local talent to represent the province at the International Blues Challenge

• Help artists sell their merch at festivals and blues events

• Show up in the community with booths, partnerships, and initiatives that keep the blues visible and accessible

For 25 years, we’ve been building bridges between artists and audiences, shining a spotlight on local talent, and making sure the blues continues to grow in Quebec — one show, one festival, and one passionate supporter at a time.
