One of Canada’s notable voices in today’s Roots music landscape tells truth through strong songwriting and compelling music, unapologetically.

Canadian singer‑songwriter Erin McCallum releases her compelling new album, Full Spread. This all‑original collection of 9 songs, recorded at Ganaraska Recording Company, is built around McCallum’s signature sound.

Full Spread takes a “message first” approach, covering a range of topics relatable to the human experience. Powerful lyrics are supported by strong arrangements, solid grooves, and excellent musicianship, serving as the backdrop for McCallum’s heartfelt voice.

As the title suggests, McCallum explores a wide range of musical styles and influences, bending genre lines without apology — providing listeners with a “full spread” of Roots‑inspired music. Whether listening to the R&B‑influenced “You Have It All”, the Country‑inspired “Lost Myself Loving You”, or the New Orleans‑meets‑Bo‑Diddley groove in “Good, Good News”, McCallum is not confined by traditional song structure. Songs like “The Big Shout” and “Broken Lies” blend traditional influences with fresh new sounds that appeal to Americana, Blues, Folk, and Contemporary listeners.

The album also features two co‑written songs with top Canadian Blues guitarist Teddy Leonard: “I’m Still Here (For Now)” and “I Need A New Lover”. The latter, released as a single on May 8, 2026, is already receiving strong support on streaming platforms and radio stations across Canada, the UK, and Australia.

Other standout tracks include “Good Intentions”, a Rock‑influenced piece augmented by Leonard’s slide guitar, and a new acoustic version of McCallum’s notable song “Home”, showcasing her artistic growth and songwriting longevity.

Co‑produced by McCallum and Leonard, Full Spread features contributions from award‑winning musicians Jimmy Bowskill, Steve Marriner, Gary Craig, Steve O’Connor, and mastering engineer Philip Shaw Bova.

Release date: August 1st, 2026
