The Montreal Blues Society has, for the third consecutive year, participated in the 2017 edition of the International Blues Challenge’s ‘Best Self-Produced CD’ category.
The Blues Foundation, based in Memphis, is the organization which oversees the Blues Hall of Fame, the Blues Music Awards, and the International Blues Challenge. The Blues Foundation organizes the International Blues Challenge (IBC) which allows blues artists all over the world to perform in front of people from the industry and to showcase their art.
Today, the Montreal Blues Society is proud to announce the winner:
Angel Forrest – Angel’s 11
Angel's album has been shipped off to Memphis to complete against the entries from blues societies from around the world. The finalists will be announced before the year is out, and the name of the winning album will be announced at the Orpheum Theater in Memphis on February 4th during the IBC finals.
We would also like to congratulate the runner-ups:
Dawn Tyler Watson
First off, we would like to say thank you to our judges and, of course, you artists, who work hard all year long to provide us with quality music to enjoy.
Thank you all for your participation and support.
