Founded in 1999, our mission is to perpetuate, promote, share and advance blues music and its culture among our members in the province of Quebec.
What is the Montreal Blues Society?
- It's a group of volunteers who support the MBS's mission of perpetuating, promoting, sharing and advancing blues music and its culture in the province of Quebec
What does it do?
- Promotes Quebec blues artists through its website and social media accounts and publicizes their events
- Attends various blues-related events creating industry contacts
- Holds an annual Quebec to Memphis competition whose winner represents Quebec in the International Blues Challenge
- Facilitates the sale of merchandise for artists at various blues events
- Sets up booths at various festivals to support its mission and to sell merchandise
